Adult Summer Reading Author Series: An Evening with Elif Batuman: Author of "The Idiot"
Join us for an evening with critically-acclaimed author Elif Batuman, part of the Adult Summer Reading Author Series. Her 2017 novel, The Idiot, set against the backdrop of the mid-90s and the rise of internet culture, was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in 2018. Her 2010 collection of non-fiction essays, The Possessed, was described by The New York Times as a "sui generis feast for the mind and the fancy, ants and all.” Currently, she lives in Brooklyn and is a staff writer for The New Yorker.
Batuman will speak for an hour, and will be available afterwards to sign books.
