Teen Writing Workshop with Sonoma County Poet Laureate Maya Khosla

Students (grades 7-12) and teachers are invited to a special writing workshop focusing on wildlife, the natural world, and the history of wildfire in California. 
 
Two short films-in-progress, Firewise and Rejuvenation, will be shown.  The films will be followed by discussions of contemporary poems and students will be invited to write in a supportive environment. All will be invited to share their thoughts and writing. 
 
Refreshments will be served.
Registration is limited to 20 participants. Sign up online or at the Adult Reference Desk.
 
Sonoma County Poet Laureate Maya Khosla (2018-2020) is a wildlife biologist by profession, and is currently bringing communities together in a series of gatherings, writing workshops, and filmed poetry readings.
